Awesome imagery and I particularly liked the kite line shots, I think I will try my kite line mount at the weekend.

Too hot..?
If the Aussie summer is getting to much and you need a break from the heat, check out this awesome snow kite video from Flysurfer...
"The snowkite season is open and awesome here in the French Alps, lot of powder and good wind to feel free high in the white mountains. Check out Lolo having big freestyle snowkite fun on the Flysurfer Speed3 CE Deluxe and Speed4 Lotus on Col du Lautaret in the French Alps."

Back to it...
It's been a while, well a few weeks, but I am hoping that the forecast doesn't change to much...
and will try to get out in the buggy for a blast on Saturday morning. It will be interesting to see what the surface is like after the recent Blokart World Championships.
See you at Lake Walyungup?

End of the road...
Yesterday we arrived in Adelaide at the end of our six day road trip, unfortunatley I missed out at stopping at the Extreme kites Kingston meet as we were on a tight schedule to get the motorhomes back to Adelaide.
There is the final ODI between Australia and England (Aussie, Aussie, Aussie) at the Adelaide oval and it is also the final day of the cycling Tour Down Under, followed by Australia Day fireworks, so there should be lots to see and do.
Happy Australia Day...

iCaching...
Warning not kite related!
iCaching is a great tool for the Mac for keen geocachers!
I had created 5 pocket queries, for our road trip, of over 2000 geocaches to add to the GPSr! It took me 5 minutes to add them all to the GPSr and that included the time it took to purchase ($15.99), download and figure out what to do!
In the city we tend to use the iPhone app as it looks less obvious than walking around with a bright green GPSr, but once on the open road or out in the bush then we use the Magellan Explorist GC.

Counting down...
Less than a week and we fly to Melbourne for the start of our big road trip...
Some of the things we already have planned are-
Unfortunately I don't think I am going to be able to take any kites with me this time as both depowers are a bit big and I would also need the harness. But I am hoping to drop in to the Extreme Kites Kingston meet...

Power and control...
I went buggying on Friday afternoon, the wind increased and was gusting up around 28-30 knots, gusting beyond the top end for the 6m Access and feeling pretty scary so I was only out for about an hour and a half! Before either I or the kite got damaged.
But I did get to play with the clam-cleat trimmer and was able to massively reduce the pull/power of the kite to allow me to fly at the top end of the wind range and feel in control (for a while). It can be adjusted one handed while flying and there is a magnet at the end of the cord to stop it flapping about (see the 100% depower picture).

Video - Geocaching
Happy New Year
We spent part of new years day bush bashing looking for geocaches, I used the new JVC Evario to catch our adventure!
Geocaching from Mark Crook on Vimeo.
I'm hoping to get out in the buggy tomorrow arvo after work for my first blast of 2014!
