Forty-four...

It's less than a month to my birthday (four weeks today to be exact!)! I'm hoping to get a quadcoptor that I can use as a video platform.

Cracked...

I managed to crack one of the line winders that I use for my GoPro kite line mount Monday when buggying,  I did get some good video though...

It is probably glueable, but would rather replace it and maybe build mark II.

Ozone R1, coming soon...

A new generation of ultra high performance foil kite, the R1 coming soon from Ozone…

During the design process of the Chrono2 we made leaps in performance with some wild prototypes that made the testing days a lot of crazy speed filled fun. Out of the prototypes we have managed to develop an out and out race kite that we are calling the R1, a pure performance race kite. This will be for all the racers out there who will want nothing but the fastest kite to ride. Stay tuned for more details to come!

Autumn...

Today is the first day of Autumn, not a bad forecast for the rest of the week - some decent winds forecast for tomorrow...

Labour Day weekend...

The forecast is looking good for both Sunday and Monday mornings, should get a roll out this weekend...

Vimeo had gone mad!

I have had 37 watches in the last 18 hours (usually only get 4-5 and maybe 20 for a new video).

Most of those have been for my video Call the Doctor. I'm not sure where they're  all coming from?

Myalup Beach...

At the weekend we were 4wd-ing on Preston Beach, some parts of which looked wide enough to buggy on...

Looking on Google maps, a bit further south Myalup beach looked wider, maybe worth a look for some beach buggying...

An unexpected skill...

I went shopping at a place I would normally avoid, bought a few items and then got out a machine I wouldn't usually touch and ended up (after a few issues and with some unexpected and sometimes unwanted help!) producing something I was very pleased with...

My first edge was a bit of a disaster, not sure I had the machine set up right...

Then got a bit better, wasn't entirely straight but it does the job...

then I got some unexpected and not particularly wanted help...

I managed to get all four edges hemmed (I even speaka da lingo!)

then started to attach the two strips of velcro...

Some more help, or just quality control..?

Padding...

I have replaced the padding on my back rest as the old pool noodle wasn't really working anymore. After some advice from Extreme Kites I opted for some pipe insulation foam. I have used a couple of layers and some duct tape. Just need my wife to make a new cover for it.

After some feedback on Extreme Kites I have played around with my video, added some slooooowwwww-mmmmoooooowww and changed the sound track. Much, much happier with the finished result.
